Chirstopher Nolan is the man! Ever since Batman Begins I have kept my eye on this guy and he only got better with The Prestige. Before all of that Memento set him apart in my mind from other directors and storytellers for his twisted conclusions and intriguing ideas. And recently The Dark Knight blew every1's minds and even took away an Oscar for a supporting character (R.I.P. Heath Ledger).
And now: INCEPTION
J.J. Abrams rocks my socks, ALL HOMO (j/k) hahaha. He's a brilliant artist, ever since his show Alias I've watched out for this guy, tho i couldn't get into Lost, later it was like he wrote his recent hit Fringe just for me ^_^. His directorial debut in '06, Mission Impossible 3 was very impressive; that bridge scene with the planes and explosions still stands out in my mind. His next creation (tho he didint direct) Cloverfield was a roller caster ride experience... to this day I've only seen it once because the adrenaline rush is just too much for me sometimes lol.
But then he had to go make Star Trek...
Yeah that deserved a space all to itself, so serious. God bless you J.J.
But next year he hits us with SUPER 8
You will see the influences these two great film makers have had on me in the near future I am telling you now. It's gonna be great. For now, i'll sit back and enjoy.
That's all folks, peace out!

SuperWoman

The Note was called Gurl Powah and these are the female perspectives that were provided.
Very insightful ;]...
1. WHAT'S HER SUPER POWER?
The ability to fly or shoot beams of ice or lightning. I also like Elastagirl's ability to stretch.
Her power should be that she can read minds.
Many.
PURE FIGHTING SKILLS
Super strength.
The ability to fly or shoot beams of ice or lightning. I also like Elastagirl's ability to stretch.
Telepathy/ Mind Control/ Flash fowards-Visions.
The ability to burn, melt or drown anyone/anything she comes in contact with.
Invisibility.
Duplication--she'd be able to split into multiple versions of herself, each one representing one of her personality traits--anger,sorry, etc.--and reabsorb them at will.
2. WHAT'S HER SUPER HERO NAME?
Sybillia.
Her name should be Neyoki.
Nuestra Señora Del Kick-Ass.
Drama Queen.
Vibe? Intuition? Esprit (french for mind)? Rêverie (french for daydream).
Aqua Fusion.
Incognito.
3. WHAT'S HER RACE?
Black and Native American (like Elisa in Gargoyles, because I am a proud nerd) :)
She should half Black and half Japanese.
Origin unknown, some in between brown color.
Multi-ethnic or racially ambiguous. everybody wins. :D
Ethnically Latina, but racially black.
Black (One parent from US, other from Haiti-thus the french).
Phillipino.
Black.
4. WHAT'S HER HOME BASE?
DC
She should watch over Washington DC because its always NYC.
The universe.
Something like New York City.
Somewhere in Chile.
Berriopolis.
Wash. DC (Or some kind of fictional Capital city, full of multiculturalism- She should grow up in Chinatown, or some unique atypical region).
Detroit.
Illinois.
5. WHAT'S HER WEAKNESS?
She's powerless in the face of numbers...math phobia!
Her weakness is an medicine, alcohol, or etc because it alters her senses and she isn't able to clearly see what a person is thinking.
Too idealistic.
Family. Or something like love.
White, male patriarchy preventing her from being who she wants to be.
French Fries.
Wayward kids who usually turn out to be a villain's pawns.. Her slacker friend who just can't seem to get it together.
Habanero Peppers.
6. HOW DID SHE GET HER POWERS?
Lab experiment gone wrong; a drug dealing with treatment for multiple personality disorder altered her genetic structure in the process.
Born of the sun and the moon.
Someone she loves was killed, or she was hurt, so she wants to get back.
Just randomly woke up with it after falling asleep doing physics homework.
She was struck by a bolt of lightning.
Ever since childhood gets lost in her daydreams... as if she is experiencing them... one day sees an event in a daydream that happens the next day...also is eventually able to read ppls thoughts ... maybe hasa grandmother who did the same thing?
One day, she feasted on a plate of Habanero's and when the waiter came around to check on her to ask how things were going, she opened up her mouth to answer him and a great amount of heat exploded from her mouth and melted the waiter. Then all of a sudden water started shooting and spraying from her eyes. All she has to do is think of Habenero's and she has the power to melt or to drown. It's up to her on how she wants to use her powers.
7. WHAT'S THE TITLE OF HER COMIC BOOK?
"The Amazing Adventures of" sounds too corny, so let's just go with her name.
BitterSweet.
Dale Fuerza "Give me strength" in Spanish.
Esprit or Rêverie.
Mission Impossible.
8. WHO IS HER ARCH NEMESIS?
She's tormented by one of her personalities--escaped from her during a division, so a kind of physical 'fight with herself', a struggle to come to terms with the part of herself she lost, and reintegrate it to be complete.
Someone that everybody likes.
Some racist, sexist tea-bagger who we'll name Bob for the time being who just so happens to be the reincarnation of Pinochet.
A depraved meteorologist by the name of Dr. Dopler (he was responsible for the bolt of lightning that struck her).
Some mobster/gangter/evil executive.
The thuggest girl on the block who always has on the freshest and latest gear and her posse following.
9. WHO IS HER SECRET IDENTITY?
Attorney.
Her regular name is Sybil (get it?) Storms
She should be a photographer which is also away to get a sense of who someone is by looking at a photo.
She has none.
A geek.
Student studying engineering.
Harriet McTwill (average wallflower at school).
Lucille "Lulu" Gaudet.
Non-english speaking exchange student.
10. WHAT IS HER MOTIVATION?
It varies.
JUSTIIIIICE.
To protect her country from regressing to an 80s era Chile because of evil supernatural Bob Pinochet related forces. Also, she would actually wear clothes and be a butch, panromantic asexual. She would also be an anarcho-syndicalist Episcopalian who can knit an awesome sweater.
To fight crime and graduate from high school.
Keep her neighborhood from being oppressed by villain.
Restore the motor city.
To fight injustice!

(((AND NOW MY THOUGHTS)))
And that's the survey. Btw I've always loved that Rosie the Riveter painting, ever since I was a kid, I think I must have put her picture next to a picture of superman and thought she was his wife or sister of something. She just looks so strong and determined ya know. I guess at a young age i already knew the type of woman God had intended for me, one that exudes strength ^_^.
These answers show that too. Intelligent, driven, strong, yet vulnerable and internal women were described here... and all of them as voted by women have what it takes to be a hero.
I hope I can write women heroes like this in the future, super heroines that men and women alike will want to know about and follow.
Cuz there's more to women than big boobs and distress, a whole universe more I kno there is.
God will show me who these women are in my writing. Thanks to my lady friends for their responses and insights and wealth of ideas. i'll look more into many of these and maybe a story will come out of it.
If God permit I will do this.
Peace out!

Cellphone pix!

I wanted to put a few captions next to em but I just wanted to post em up already but i'll get better. I love these light effects and shadows and sunshine, so freakin' awesome! Two of those shadow pictures where my face is obscured remind me of GORT from The Day the Earth Stood Still (Keanu Reeves).
I can't wait to get my own digi cam, brothers are always using it but this cellphone cam works great and I always got it on me so... whenever an oppurtunity presents itself and the lighting looks epic i just shoot it. So I plan to upload more, lots more.
Peace out!

New NBC action series THE CAPE
This show actually looks intersting ^_^
The Cape, a summer replacer mixes Batman with Spawn with the Punisher. Not Heroes granted but it looks kinda cool. And Keith David is a cool actor too lol.
Peace out!

THE 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT!!!

This past weekend(May 1st & 2nd, 2010) was the best in a loooooooooooooooooooong time! I was assistant director on my friend Paula Wood's film entry Z is for Zebra for one of this years 48hr project.
The experience was great. The more I work on films the more motivated my creativity becomes. Paula is a trooper!
This time around I did a lot of P.A. (production assistant) work but I also interected with the actors a bit more, the crew as well. Plus I got to be with every1 durring the brainstorming period, the birthing of the script, the detailing of actors, the plot... so much ^_^. We didn't sleep until 4am ...then we got up at 5:15am to get to the location and start production xD!
This whole process just showed me what a team of film makers can do in a short period of time. Its SO EMPOWERING, to be able to shoot and gather so much in a 12hr period or less and then produce a copy of it right after is uncanny O_O. But it makes me believe that anything is possible and that if i set my mind to it and if the team is behind you and they are focused... there's so much to achieve. I don't eve want to doubt what I can really do becuz i think that's what this project is all about. Not the stress, or the rushing or the deadlines, but focus and execution.
So many good things to say about: the actors, the director, the location, the shooting, the equipment, the new friends, the excitement, the job, the goodness of God... this was a great weekend and i'll never forget it.
(((NOW)))
Tonight was the first of about five screenings of the films that were submitted to the project. And boy was it a BLAST! I got to go with one of my best friends and she enjoyed herself too.
Seeing the actors and fellow crewmembers was fun, every1 in down time, relaxing, laughing anf smiling...
The films were great, some more than others, but great. There was horror, comedy, romance, drama, mockumentary, all films ppl worked hard on, just like my team. Questions were asked of the directors afterward and people learned more about the project and the many aspects and challnges that one faces when competing.
But most of all it was wonderful seeing the finished project I had worked so hard on. And watching every1 else's sweat and creativity play out on the silver screen was the best!
Like I said before, so many good things to say, but there's so much more than that to be experienced. You want to know more about the competition:
check that out and you're in for a crazy two days of great film making!
Ok that's enough for me tonight. I heard the competition moves to another city next month ... idk sounds like fun =]
Later!
