Saw Watchmen yesterday for my best friend's bday and dude was it not the most epic thing I've seen in this year!

Now I just gotta read the book. Yeah I've heard, read the book first, read the book first, but I wanted to go in unbiased, otherwise, if I have original/comic expectiations for the film, if it lets me down, who do I have to blame? ME! So I don't believe in setting myself up for an epic fail when it comes to movie adaptions, I used I really did like with Lord of the Rings and st
uff, but then I grew out of it and just enjoyed the movie for what it was; after all if the film sucked its not like the original book is going anywhere, I think fans just get off being right, not appreciating the art. Nothing wrong with loving the source material, but I just like to have both if I can, and my attitude lets me.

The soul of the story is amazing, straight realism and humanity. I'm glad it wasn't like Spider-Man or other classic super hero movies blowing up being a hero and everything. That's fantasy and even I write [some] characters with the classic heroism attitude. But This story was mature, very mature and honest to human nature, and sometimes, the truth isn't attractive, but it is what it is. So what's next? That's up to you.

Yes, Ozymandias is my favorite character. EVERY1 loves Rorschach which obviousyl includes your truly, but at the end of the film I was liking the "King of kings", awesome fighter to back up his fightin' words and crazy intellect. Great uniform too. Idl it looked more like... his natural attire, the normal thing for Veidt to wear, like street clothes and a trench coat for Rorschach. He seemed totally at one with himself in his uniform, almost professional or more so than his designer suits. I know he's ambiguous but I like his character all the same.
But don't take my word for it, go check it out!
Peace.
